Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

The hubby and I wanted some late-night brownies last night and what do you know, no boxes of brownies. Thanks to a quick internet search, I found our alternative here. Add some peanut butter and swirl in the mix and voila!: amazing super easy brownies.

I mixed the batter together in a large bowl, then poured it into a greased baking pan.

I used a spoon to drizzle some peanut butter over the top, then ran a knife through the mixture to swirl it into the batter.

I baked the brownies for about 25 minutes, then sprinkled powdered sugar over the top.

Now these were some moist, chocolaty fantastic brownies.  I happen to love peanut butter and chocolate so the addition made for some brownie greatness.  I'll never buy brownie mix again!

Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-2 tablespoons peanut butter
3 teaspoons powdered sugar

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan with shortening. In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla. Mix in eggs. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl; gradually stir into the egg and sugar mixture until well blended. Spread the batter evenly into the baking pan. Use a drizzle peanut butter over the batter, then use a knife to swirl in the peanut butter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven once center is cooked and edges are pulling away from pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top to finish.
