Homemade Cajun Seasoning

I was looking for ingredients to make Cast Iron Skillet Cajun Chicken, and the recipe called for a Tony Chachero creole seasoning blend, which I do not have. What I do have is the power of Google, and I tracked down recipe on Gumbopages. I didn't have all of the spices called for, so I made a few adjustments that ended up with great results.

In a small bowl, I mixed the salt, minced onion, garlic powder, oregano, basil, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika until it was well combined.

The chicken turned out delicious and I'm excited to use this seasoning again.  Even without a few ingredients, I ended up with a really great cajun seasoning.
