Greek Salad Dressing

Time for my first salad dressing recipe!  I'd been told before that once you try making your own at home, you won't switch back to store bought dressing, but hadn't yet given it a try.  When my husband and I decided to try out several Greek recipes, making Moussaka and Pastitsio, we also decided to make a salad dressing to start the meal out.

I used a basic Greek dressing recipe, keeping the ingredients the same and making only slight changes to the process along the way since this was my first go around.

The process was as simple as it gets.  I mixed minced garlic, salt, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, sugar, red wine vinegar, basil, and oregano together in a blender cup, then used my Magic Bullet for about 30 seconds to combine the mixture. I added the extra virgin olive oil, then blended it for about 5-10 more seconds to mix it.

I poured the dressing over some fresh lettuce and it looked delicious!

The recommendations were right!  This recipe is super easy and came out so good I can't imagine going back to the bottled version.  2-3 minutes of work lead to a fresh, tasty dressing, so why not try it?
